By Heather Collier

Nauta Design have now unveiled the latest exterior images of the 72-metre Project Moonflower 72.

The vision behind the Moonflower 72 has brought to life through a legendary collaboration between Italian design studio Nauta Design and electric yacht builder Wider.

"The Moonflower 72 retains all the key features of modern yet timeless design, onboard liveability and maximum connection with the marine environment – fundamental characteristics of all Nauta projects. With Wider we found just the right cocktail of technology and team organisation to make the project a reality," says Mario Pedol, Co-Founder of Nauta Design.

Marcello Maggi, Head of W-Fin Sarl, the owners of Wider, added: "We’ve invested heavily in restructuring the shipyard in anticipation of orders like this one and thanks to the current management that has been working together for 30 years, Wider is able to build the Moonflower 72 to the highest quality levels."

Her interior design incorporates a seamless outdoor/indoor configuration, along with Nauta's signature 'The Island' feature showcased onboard. An expanding aft deck and beach club provides a harmonious walk-around space, whilst horizontal lines and extensive glass create light areas both inside and out, adding to the clever flow of the layout.

In terms of performance, she is equipped with the latest hybrid propulsion system, and can recover heat energy from the propulsion system, as well as optimisation of amenities through the use of AI. She will also use further innovations and technologies from Wider to increase efficiency and encourage a symbiotic relationship between the sea and environment onboard.

Scheduled for delivery in 2025, we can’t wait to see how Moonflower 72 evolves into a masterpiece.
